Växjö-Peter frågade på gaastra-konfen och fick följande svar:
the numbers applied in the factory are ‘mark cloth’. they can be easily peeled off and unless they are very old, usually leave no goo behind.
the name is printed on with ink that will remove with ‘goo off’ or acetone. this does no damage that we can detect.
to remove printed graphics, wet a paper towel or cloth and let it sit on the offensive mark for about thirty seconds. this softens the goo or ink. then, with a single motion, wipe it away.
don’t scrub with a wet cloth or you will just smear ink or goo all over. and make scratches. soften the stuff first. after you get most of it, you will find a cleaner cloth or towel with a small amount of solvent will finish the job.
