Från http://www.gaastra.com kommer lite tips:
Here is a good “how to” do a flat-water forward:
1 – You need lots of speed. Aim for a small chop, since that is the biggest ramp you will probably find in flat water. Hit it going slightly off the wind, 10-20 degrees.
2 – As you launch into the air, try to turn your board more downwind. You want the sail to rotate around, instead of up and down, so reach back with your back hand, and pull really hard. Make sure you keep your front hand near to you, so the sail doesn’t go end over end.
3 – As you rotate, you want to tuck your board really close to you, so there is less to hit the water. The hard part will be clearing your mast.
4 – If you get the mast around, then start focusing on a landing spot. Usually with this move, you butt check (land on your butt), so expect that.
5 – When you land, hang on to your gear, because it will be trying to pull out of your hands.
6 – If you didn’t do it perfect, waterstart and try again. If you did, congratulations!
