Lots of talk about whether the PWA has lost its way, the state of pro windsurfing, and high-level competition in particular. I mainly course race, so the below is a thought experiment aimed at making course racing feasible as a pro-level series of events with real benefits for riders, the sport, the industry, and the sponsors.
Of course, you could take that model and apply it to slalom, too (I’m deliberately not talking about freestyle, wave, or SuperX here, as I personally care most about racing).

This is great stuff.. You want a job? The PWA is actually looking for another employee?? This is exactly what we need. However it takes quite a bit of money to make it all work. This usually means more cost for the organizer and as soon as you make it mandatory to have this so that the public can understand this then you could possibly loose out on events?
I have one other question to post. What do you think about just bringing back slalom and having slalom only? We have the equipment to make a slalom race in 8 knots. We can put it close to the beach and make courses that are easy to see and understand. Right in plain view. Not 60 guys crossing back and forth with no one having a clue what is going on? When it is light you do slalom and when it is windy you do slalom??

Kevin, I like your idea about the slalom. Our equipment has come to the point where we can run it no matter the wind. I think its an excellent idea and would support that completely.Marc Lefebvre
