  No more material between the fingers and the boom

  Hi

  The breath heating system I introduced to you last year has enabled me to completely eliminate the material between the fingers and the boom. It makes a big difference to the arms.

  Not so very new, I’ve been using cut out mitts the last four years or so.

  I don’t really see what’s so new about it either, at least not compared to the breath system. Palm-less mittens have been around for ages. They are obviously a lot nicer to windsurf with as you don’t suffer from fatigue, but they are still not great when you have to swim in cold water.

  Never the less, it’s great that you come up with inventons to improve cold water windsurfing!

  Everything so far has relied upon some material along the underside of the fingers to keep the cut away mitten in place over the ends of the fingers. That small bit of material disturbes the most critical part of the hands grip on the boom. This mitten has managed to eliminate the layer of material between the fingers and the boom. If you sail with this on one hand a traditional cut away mitten on the other you would realize how significant this is.
