Very Interesting place. But my forecast app says the wave will be there, but wind is not very stable.

    Hey Boris @nordsurfer
Me I only use the windy app to get a overview of the weather/wind system. However I always go to SMHI.se to see the wind forecast!

From what I can see the wind will be extremely gusty the coming days wherever you go but of course it will be better the closer you’re to the Baltic Sea!

Thanks a lot for your advice. What I am trying to guess, where people will go and where is the most stable wind and better waves 🙂 As for now I am trying to choose between Salnö and Väddö Sandvikens hamn. Rullsand seems to work tomorrow in the evening better than on Thursday (which I am planning to go on).

P.s.: According to the forecast, the best conditions are on Singö. As I can understand, the spot where I marked on the photo

P.p.s.: It seems to be better near Svartklubben Lighthouse as @mr_soft said. But I still don’t know where exactly to go 🙂

Northwest winds are not ideal for either wind nor waves in Stockholm I´m afraid, then the westcoast is better. Rullsand in Gävle, kappelskär, svartklubben, etc maybe ok but far to travel and in my opinion not worth it since northwinds are often gusty and chilly. Normally with alot of rain and generally shitty weather. But by all means if you are a dedicated hardcore wavesailor you might think its worth the drive 2-3 hour one way to Gävle.

When there are NV winds coming it´s always alot of discussion here and now when spotguide is gone even more confusing which place is best. Somebody said, never travel to find wind when you have wind at home. That is correct for me living at Ekerö, no waves but really big chops good for jumping and good consistent winds if the direction is west or NV. Unfortunately there are no good spots other than private properties around the hole Björkfjärden. So unless you know someone with a beach property (and sauna) like I do its hard to launch and if you do find a spot (eg Rasta) there are no other surfers since it´s not a convinient parking/beach. Although Sandviken on the other side (Södertälje) is ok parking but launching on boatramp with an island in the way. Only ok if you can beat upwind to get around the island I think. Sandviken is on the opposite side of the Rasta spot so you can say hallo in the middle.

As far as I can see, the most hardcore party takes place near Svartklubben Lighthouse.
Yes, northern winds are cold, yes weather can be shitty (this time looks ok), but I can’t imagine myself sitting somewhere with those wind whistling sounds and feel okay, I need to be on the fucking spot!

And, for sure I cheat a little bit with this heated vest and faster driving. https://www.heatedwetsuits.com/product/thermalution-surf-series-15m/
