Practical vs ideal kiting…
Lite intressanta reflektioner från en post på kitesurf@yahoogroups.com
Nån som känner igen sig?Having traveled around the world kiting in the last 7 years I start to
notice there are some differences between practical and ideal kiting:– Practical kiting is what you do at your local spots, ideal kiting
is what you do at kiting paradises
– Practical kiting is a 4 season sport, ideal kiting is mostly about
warmer climate.
– Practical kiting is what you do 99% of the time, the rest is ideal
kiting
– When you buy equipment, you envision 50% practical kiting and 50%
ideal kiting
– The marketeers think 99% ideal kiting and practical kiting is what
most of us do
– Ideal kiting is what you see in the magazines or videos or
competitions and practical kiting is what most of us do
– Ideal kiting is what most kiting equipment is designed for and
practical kiting is what most of us do
– Practical kiting is what you communicate in groups like these and
ideal kiting is what the marketeers try to push
– Practical kiting focus on having fun, ideal kiting focus on being
the best
– Practical kiting focus on the skills 99% of the kiters still
practicing, ideal kiting focus on the skills only few kiters in the
world can do
– Most kite designers live and work near ideal kiting spots
– Most practical kiters live and work near non-ideal kiting spots
– So more kite designers need to live near non-ideal kiting spots and
more kiters need to live near ideal kiting spotsPlease add more …
