Robby Naish confirmed in the 2011 American Windsurfing Tour

Robby Naish has been confirmed in the 2011 American Windsurfing Tour. The iconic windsurfer, kitesurfer and entrepreneur will be sailing and opening the hostilities at Waddell Creek, South of San Francisco, between 5th-8th May.
The 2011 American Windsurfing Tour then moves to the infamous Pistol River Wave Bash, held once again over the third weekend of June, during that magical time in Southern Oregon when the spring swells are still hitting and the more consistent summer winds are kicking in.
The third stop will be Punta San Carlos, on Mexico’s Baja peninsula, for some world-class down the line wave sailing. To be held over the last weekend of July into the first week of August, in the hopes of coinciding with a tasty south swell from the other hemisphere.
Afterwards, the crew heads to the Hatteras Wave Jam, a spectacular event sometime around the second half of September, as the East Coast’s fall sailing season ramps up in earnest.
Finally, the 2011 American Windsurfing Tour is completed in great style in US windsurfing’s Mecca, Ho’okipa Beach Park, on Maui, in the last weekend of October, prime timing to catch both wind and swell in Hawaii.

“opening the hostilities”? Hur tänkte de här?
Annars var det coolt som fan, Robban har ju alltid funnits i surfvärlden, förmodligen var den första surfbilden man såg av honom. Minns när SurfSport hade reportage om honom när han gästade Sverige och lyckades hoppa på vågor vi svenskar knappt kunde segla i, trots att de i princip inte var mer är krusningar på vattnet.
